“Who’s Garmin am I looking at?”

^Me every week after my Wednesday speed work. Hands on knees, kick your butt kinda workout. I texted my coach “Who’s Garmin am I looking at?!” after clocking paces that start with 6 in my workouts for the first time. It felt so unfamiliar to me I still refresh my Garmin app to make sure it says my name at the top.
5 of the 7 marathons I’ve run were within 5 minute finish time of each other… My body loves a 9 minute mile. My comfort zone. Consistency is a gift with distance running, but it also means breaking out of that comfort zone has been a long process. Little by little we chip away, making speed deposits in the bank. 💰
