All roads lead to pasta

2020 is the first…[enter SO many things here]. This calendar year quite literally feels like an entire lifetime of firsts for all of us. Year 2020 is the first time in 7 years I won’t run a marathon. The 4 month training cycle of working towards a goal, sneakers laced up rain or shine, extra pasta on the weekend, weeks of searching for the perfect race day outfit (top must match this season’s sneakers, amirite?), and soaking up every ounce of energy that is a 26.2 race day.

I couldn’t have known it at the time, but signing up for coaching with Rochelle this time last year was the best decision for 2020 Me. It’s kept movement a priority in this everlasting year where so many days we just feel stuck. We work towards mini goals that will eventually add up to big goals. And turns out shopping for new running gear and eating all the pasta is just as fun without racing. Until we toe the start line again…*photo is Grandma’s Marathon 2017, that feeling when you reach your friends’ neon signs, extra snacks and smiling faces.
